Hello Everyone!

This is a post for all the new people from my school who have found my website. It is nice to meet all of you. You can ask me questions here. I will answer them. You are all so nice to me. Thank you for everything that you have done for me. Also, a lot of this stuff might not make sense. Do not worry, I joke a lot.

Kyle

Lazyness is a good thing.

So I started school on Monday. It was a very good time. It’s just like any other school though. All the people are just like normal teenagers. How I missed you High School. Its nice to be looked at and smiled at for no reason at all. Also, I’m taller then every one so I am fun to look at apperently. I played basket ball and blocked a bunch of shots. Did they still score an amazing amount on me? Yes.

School has been the only thing I’ve done the past two (three if you are me and it’s not a Wednesday morning.) I’ve met tons and tons of people. I can’t remember their names though…sorry. The only person I can remember is my new friend Manami. She’s a sweetheart. She’s been helping me with school the past three days…well two as she was at the American Embassy today getting a visa to America. Her English is quite good. She is so nice. Here is a picture just b/c I like you all that much.

So not much else to report. I hope all is well with everyone. If you have any questions, just email me or leave a comment.

Mmmm…just like Mom used to make…

Food One
This is spaghetti and French toast.Food Two
This is miso soup, eggs with ketchup, salad, pizza, fruit, and milk.

Food Three
This is stuff avocado, macarroni salad, and potato pancakes with ketchup.

So everyone has one guess what meal this is! Oh yes…these are three different meals but they are all of the same type. That’s right, this is breakfast! I know my family is awesome. They really like to eat. Oddly enough, every other meal I’ve had with them is very normal for a Japanese family. I’m not quite sure why this one isn’t. The only thing that is Japanese breakfast style is the miso soup pictured above in number two. I think that’s a good touch. So I suggest that everyone start eating breakfast like this. It’s freaking oishi (delicious)!

So today and yesterday were very fun. Yesterday, Yosuke and I went to a sort of get together with all the people from his school that are involved in the international exchange office. It was wicked fun. There were about 30ish people there and most of them were talking to me. It was quite fun. Then they got progressively more fun so they talked even more but they didn’t make any sense. No sense at all in either Japanese or English and in one case Spanish. I’ll tell you right now, the hardest conversation I’ve ever taken part in took place last night. Why? The conversation took place in Spanish, English, and Japanese all in the same sentences. That was quite fun though. I know a lot more Spanish/Japanese then I thought. Go me. Oh, no pics of this event. Sorry.

Today was a wicked good time as well. My family is great so we got out of the house at about noon. They took me to this nice hotel where they had this room that looked underneath the ocean and stuff. A bunch of fishes were there just doing their fish thing. I got a lot of pictures of that. After that we went to this gorgeous restaurant in the middle of an amazing mountain scape. It was…wow. It’s what Japan should look like. That’s all I can say. After that even, we went to this crazy park were all these birds just walk around. Just look at the pictures and you can see how close i got to each bird. I was about 3 ft away for the most part. It was fantastical. It did smell to high heavens though. Oh well. Nice pictures. Go look at them all under “Japan Part 2″ they are nice.

Tomorrow is the big day! That’s right, I start school tomorrow. I get to make little Japanese girls scream and giggle. That should be o-so-fun. I promise that I will have even more pictures of that if you care to look at them. You don’t have to but I do hope for hilarity. Let’s hope it ensues

Nothing Else to do…really…

I went to school with my brother よすけ so I am just browsing the interwebs till he gets back from class. I wanted to go with him but he decided that it would be too boring for me. So I decided against it in the end. Now instead I am doing what I usually do on the web, I am writing on stuff. I hope you dont mind reading all the posts that I ve been writing the past two days. Sorry to all of ya who havent actually read anything yet. You have a lot to catch up on.

If you have any questions about Nihon for me, please ask. I have internet all the time over here.

So more about Okinawa. Its very humid here. I cant stress that enough. Its very different from the rest of the japan that we know and love. Not that I dont <3 this place. Its very different. There is a lot of open space and parks and trees and not crowded cramped buildings. My house has a lot of space and is a middle class housing. We live over the company that my otoosan works at. He is a sign maker or so I was told by Yosuke.

The family is trying to kill me by over feeding me. Japanese people are just so hard to say no to…..sigh. So Yeah, i have nothing else to report at this very moment. I wish I did…I dont though. Oh well, thats life.

Oh I know one thing, this keyboard is very fun but hard to use. Its normal except where this  `  is supposed to be this  :  is. So I keep hitting  :  this when I write things like I:ve or don:t. It:s not very fun I have to erase them all the times oh well, I don:t care I:ve done what I can do.

 Love

~Kyle

*Edit* They just gave me some Coffee (コーヒー) tea. Very good.

First Day is astsui…

So I’m just chillin with my obaa-san right now. She’s actually putting away all the clothing and such. It’s quite nice, she does all the laundry for everyone. I offered to help this morning but she was hell bent on doing it. So right I decided to just eat breakfast. One thing about this family so far is they are determinded to make me get fat(er.) The food they have given me so far has been really really good. Lots of it though. Lots.

Today was quite a fun day so far. I woke up at about 8 o’clock and just chilled and ate breakfast with my Grandma. She’s very sweet and English is quite good. After awhile we went over to my G. Aunt’s house and I was there until all three of us left to go around Uruma City (where I live.) All I can say is that it is very very pretty here. There are some pictures after the post. Have a look. I’m going to be putting up all the pictures I’ve taken so far as well. It’s about 110 ish so don’t feel the need to look at all of them. The first ish ones are in San Jose where my orientation was and the others are Tokyo and Uruma City.
Oh! One more thing, it’s hot here I mean it. It’s hot and freakin’ humid. I went on a mile walk today and was drenched in sweat. It’s crazy. Also, masquitos are everywhere. Oh, I also went to a family shrine today with my Grandmas. It was beautiful.

My Room

The Shrine

In Japan-Land

So I’m finally in Japan. By finally I mean two days ago. Sadly I didn’t want to pay 500 yen for internets. Yes, I’m cheap. So sue me. So I spent two days in Tokyo and hung out with this very fun girl named Gwin. She’s a sweetheart, really. So if you are reading this, thanks for being my buddy in the big city! We went places we did.

As for my host family…they are so so so nice. Everyone is just nice and everything is perfect and Japanese. I even have that crazy Great Aunt who swears. Okinawa from what I’ve seen is scary different then the rest of Japan. More on that as it devolops. For now, I need sleep badly. <3′s to ya’s all’s

Peace out

San Jose

I’m in San Jose right now writing on my roomie’s laptop. I know I’m cool like that. So I’m doing well and tomorrow is the day we do all our classes in Japanese and other stuffs. I’m excited. So I shall update tomorrow. Good night to all.

Away I go

I’m very happy that so many people actually are reading this or know about my blog at the very least. For all of you, you can register so you don’t have to enter all your info over and over again. So feel free. I promise not to send your info away to places. I promise.

It really means a lot that everyone has come and at the very least read some of my words and even let me know how they like it. I thank you all a lot. It means the world to me.

I leave for California today. I’m going to be there for three days. I’m very excited. I’m going to be doing orintation there. I’ll learn things like how to be cool, be amazing, and maybe some Japanese customs…maybe. So I’ll be in the country till Sunday. So feel free to text me. I won’t be able to talk that long if you call, sorry. For now, I need to finish packing. If you have a spacific thing you want from Japan let me know on any page. Also, I updated my about page if you really care to look. It’s that way ======>

So my Eurotrip was quite fun. So of course that meant going everywhere and taking pictures out the wazzoo. It was just that much stuff to film. Since I’m promoting my pictures so much I’ll just link on over to the gallery for you right here. I do hope that you enjoy it as much as I did taking these. There were a bunch more too. I spared you a lot of time. You don’t have to look at them all. I highly suggest the Mykanos ones though. They are ever so white. Not meant in a racist way by the way.

In other news, I gained a lot of weight on the trip. 5 lbs I’d say. That’s a lot for me. I dont’ usually gain weight or lose it. So I hope to lose it while I go to Japan. Speaking of which, I had my first orientation today. That was very easy to get through since I knew everything already. In any case, I leave on Thursday. I do hope to see some people before I leave again. If I don’t see you, I love you all the same. I was just too lazy to actually see you. Sorry. I’m odd like that. I promise to update in Japan though. A lot more then I did Italy. I will have my laptop.

Enough ranting for now, I need my sleep due to Jet Lag, or “The Lag” as I’ve been known to call it. Be good all. Stay true to yourself!

~Kyle

Back in ABQ!

I’m back for the time being. Greece was amazing. So was Turkey, Croatia, and Italy. Bigger update tomorrow. I need sleep.
