So everyone has one guess what meal this is! Oh yes…these are three different meals but they are all of the same type. That’s right, this is breakfast! I know my family is awesome. They really like to eat. Oddly enough, every other meal I’ve had with them is very normal for a Japanese family. I’m not quite sure why this one isn’t. The only thing that is Japanese breakfast style is the miso soup pictured above in number two. I think that’s a good touch. So I suggest that everyone start eating breakfast like this. It’s freaking oishi (delicious)!
So today and yesterday were very fun. Yesterday, Yosuke and I went to a sort of get together with all the people from his school that are involved in the international exchange office. It was wicked fun. There were about 30ish people there and most of them were talking to me. It was quite fun. Then they got progressively more fun so they talked even more but they didn’t make any sense. No sense at all in either Japanese or English and in one case Spanish. I’ll tell you right now, the hardest conversation I’ve ever taken part in took place last night. Why? The conversation took place in Spanish, English, and Japanese all in the same sentences. That was quite fun though. I know a lot more Spanish/Japanese then I thought. Go me. Oh, no pics of this event. Sorry.
Today was a wicked good time as well. My family is great so we got out of the house at about noon. They took me to this nice hotel where they had this room that looked underneath the ocean and stuff. A bunch of fishes were there just doing their fish thing. I got a lot of pictures of that. After that we went to this gorgeous restaurant in the middle of an amazing mountain scape. It was…wow. It’s what Japan should look like. That’s all I can say. After that even, we went to this crazy park were all these birds just walk around. Just look at the pictures and you can see how close i got to each bird. I was about 3 ft away for the most part. It was fantastical. It did smell to high heavens though. Oh well. Nice pictures. Go look at them all under “Japan Part 2″ they are nice.
Tomorrow is the big day! That’s right, I start school tomorrow. I get to make little Japanese girls scream and giggle. That should be o-so-fun. I promise that I will have even more pictures of that if you care to look at them. You don’t have to but I do hope for hilarity. Let’s hope it ensues
